Description
This magnificent and strategically located Archaeological Complex called Huchuy Qosco or “Little Cusco” was known in the Inca period with the name of Caquia Xaquixahuana and according to the chroniclers was inhabited by the Inca Wiracocha until his death. From Huchuy Qosco you have a spectacular view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the mountains of the Cordillera del Urubamba.
Itinerary
Around 07:00 am pick up from your hotel and then we will proceed to the Patabamba community where we are going to start our treck, and after passing through a small peak, we wil descend to Pumamarca town through a beautiful and ancient inka trail and a Inka Bridge, we will pass through a small canyon that is going to take us to Huchuy Qosqo.
This archaeological complex was very important in the Inka times because here Huayna Capac lived and died, father of the best Inka Pachacuteq, after we visit the complex we will descend for approximately 2 hours to the village of Lamay where ends our treck and we have to take the bus to go back to Cusco city.
